We officially stepped onto the stage with LoanNFT at Filene Big Bright Minds 2025 in Nashville – and it felt like the right place to begin.
That event has always been about what’s next for the credit union system. So rather than just talk about ideas, we used it to introduce something tangible we’ve been building alongside leaders across the movement.
In this Studio Lounge conversation, we shared the story behind LoanNFT – what it is, why we built it, and where it’s headed.
At its core, LoanNFT is about making loan participations easier, faster, and more transparent for credit unions. Today’s process still relies heavily on intermediaries, manual workflows, and delayed reporting. It works—but it doesn’t scale the way the system needs it to.
We’re taking a different approach.
By leveraging blockchain infrastructure, LoanNFT enables a more direct, peer-to-peer model for participations – bringing greater visibility, efficiency, and ultimately more flexibility to how credit unions manage liquidity and collaborate with one another.
What’s been most encouraging is the response so far. As we’ve begun our initial funding conversations, we’re seeing strong interest from credit unions who recognize both the challenge and the opportunity in front of us.
This is just the beginning – but it’s a meaningful one.
Filene has always been a place where ideas take shape. We’re excited that LoanNFT is one of the things now moving from concept to platform, and we’re looking forward to continuing the conversation with credit unions and partners who want to help build what’s next together.
